I thought it would be a great idea to establish my idea of prayer with all of you. I can summarize it down to one fact: when I pray and believe, I can physically see and feel our loving God working in my life. However, with this comes the ideology behind it all. How does praying work exactly?
Often in my life when I disregard God’s agenda for me, I seem to run into all sorts of difficulties. When things are constantly crashing down around me I take a step back and evaluate the situation. The common denominator is always obvious! I realize that I am trying to take decisions into my own hands and this often fails. When I say often, I mean all of the time.
Praying is only the start of this process though. With prayer must come faith.
“But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.”
James 1:6-7 NIV
Faith is the catalyst to the resin of God’s omnipresence in your life. If you keep trying and are permanently failing, take my advice and do these things.
