Drawing our energy from the correct sources is mandatory if we want to pave the path of prosperity. Oh, how easy it is to take the easy way out when temptation crosses our path. Adultery, debauchery, greed, selfishness, abuse are just some of the consequences of falling into temptation. Why is it so difficult to resist the elements in this life that on the surface seem fulfilling, yet often result in regret? Why is this life designed in such a way?
I truly believe it’s all part of a great test for us to redeem ourselves in the eyes of our Creator. We are designed with enough of the correct attributes to resist these temptations and choose correctly. We’ve heard it so many times: “Take the straight and narrow road!” it’s just not that easy is it. My friends, I just don’t think it’s meant to be easy. If we assess the reward at stake here, why should it be easy?
We’ve been offered a gift from God and if we pass these earthly tests and stay true to the character that He wants us to portray by resisting evil temptation, everlasting life in a heavenly realm with only perfection surrounding us is on offer. A place that no man or woman can imagine or even dream of. You don’t believe in fairy tales? Great because this isn’t one. It’s a promise from the most powerful Being in existence.
