“Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come. – Robert H. Schuller
How often do we fall victim to making rushed decisions resulting in negative outcomes? It’s not enough that we have so many pivotal choices to make throughout our lives, we have to now make these decisions at the appropriate time as well. What is it about our existence that is so difficult? The answer, my friends, lies in the clouds.
God’s Word often tells us to set our mind and sight on things above, not on earthly things, but just what does He mean by this? (Colossians 3:1, 2) My opinion – Don’t focus all of your attention on becoming rich, buying expensive things, social media, toxic relationships, and time-wasting activities. Rather, by looking up, we can eliminate our immediate stresses because of the beauty we see in the sky, the heavens, the Kingdom of our Lord.
By setting our minds on spiritual goodness, we can rejuvenate the soul by being pure, straying away from the toxicity of what man and this world have to offer. Live a life of light and leave the life of lamentation. Repent and be made new in the Grace of God by walking out your pre-destined journey of jubilation.
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” - 1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
Every moment today that feels high-pressure or depressing, remove yourself, physically or mentally out of the situation and focus on things above, clouds of purity, birds flying free, whispers of the wind calming your mind.
