“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
– Paulo Coelho
I always find it so remarkable how different we all are, yet we are all the same. We all have 2 eyes, 2 ears, a nose, a mouth, and a body consisting of 2 arms, hands, legs, and feet, but we are all somewhat different. We are so different that when there is a lineup of people standing next to each other, we can determine each person apart and identify who they are.
It’s for this reason that I truly believe what the Bible tells us – that we have each been uniquely handcrafted in our mother’s womb by our Creator and He knows how many hairs are on each of our heads. I feel that many people fear the existence of such a divine power, which is why they choose not to believe in it. We cannot comprehend such an omnipotent Creator that can miraculously design billions of people and still love each one unconditionally. The mere fact that we cannot comprehend this gloriousness is the reason we develop a fear of it and choose not to acknowledge it.
The Bible often talks about fearing God, especially in the Old Testament. My opinion is that this is a similar type of fear to what we are talking about here. It’s about respecting and being obedient to the brilliance of such an unbelievable omnipresence. We have been gifted with the permission to bow our heads down in prayer and feel honored to be able to bring our thoughts to such supremacy, in a relationship with Him as our Father. What a privilege!
“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” – John 5:24 NIV
