So often we hear people telling us to live in the moment; embrace and enjoy each second before it’s over; be present in the now. To be present in the moment and to thoroughly enjoy it, surely, the moment we’re in should be one that warrants such reward.

In life, our days are filled with multiple moments which present a variety of emotions as a result of unpredictable incidents. If you are going through a season of trauma, pain, sickness, sadness, fear or loss, just why would you want to appreciate and embrace those moments? However, if the events unfolding offered a series of moments which offered peace, joy, love, kindness, humility and goodness, you would endeavor to embrace these moments by consciously choosing to live in the now.
There is only one being that understands the wisdom of God – that is the Holy Spirit. By living in the presence of the Spirit, you are making a choice to live in the fruits that the Spirit has to offer, which are found in Galatians 5:22-23. Have you heard of anyone saying that they have a peace inside of them that transcends all understanding?
Whether you are going through a season of hardship and pain or if the stars are aligning and things are in your favor – you should always choose to live in this state of peace and joy which can only be understood and found through the lenses of God’s Wisdom which is found by being in the presence of the Holy Spirit. If you want it and don’t know how to get it, pray and ask your Father in Heaven, who gives generously, if only you’d ask. He speaks through His Word & through His children.
