“Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer. And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good.”
–Maya Angelou
It’s only a good day for me when it begins with gratitude. We cannot expect more in this life if we don’t appreciate what we already have! I’m going to provide you with a few guidelines today to remind you how to show appreciation through gratitude which will consequently reward you with abundance.
- Consider large and small opportunities in all aspects of your life, whether they were positive or negative and embrace the impact they’ve had in your life. (E.g. family, relationships, business opportunities)
- What is your purpose? Either repeat it in your head or say it out loud – remind yourself what your purpose is; how will you go about it today and how will it create ripple effects in the circles around you?
- State your 3 intentions for today: Either out loud or in your mind, tell yourself 3 positive affirmations of what you want to accomplish today.
- Lastly, say out loud to yourself at least 20 “power statements”! Short sentences of affirmations of who you are, what you want to achieve and your abilities! Love yourself here!
“The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”
– Matthew 3:10 NIV
To receive more, we need to give more; even if what we give is gratitude.
