How To Stay Focused

“It’s not for status, it’s for service.” – Steven Furtick

How often do we fall into this trap of wanting to look good in a social circle? We all want to not just fit in but look good in front of those around us. We all strive for a level of excellence in the form of significance. What we don’t realize is that we are focusing on the wrong concept.

We all have a dream – some of you were born with it,  some develop that dream through their adolescent years and others haven’t figured it out yet. The problem is, we all spend our lives trying to conclude what this dream is to comprehend the purpose of our existence.

If only we could realize earlier that the answer lies in our predestined future. Who is the designer of this future? Who knows our timeline from start to end? Who created everything and remains completely in control?

If only we put all our time and trust into better understanding our Creator, no sooner would we understand that the dream we have in our head and heart has been planted there because we have a pre-planned destiny. The wickedness that surrounds us lures us to forget about this as we are tempted to take our lives into our own hands. By trusting in God who already knows our future, we allow ourselves to follow our destiny and God will use that dream or desire in our hearts to get us where He wants us to be. God will rather use us for a service to others than for social status. It is in the process of accepting this that we understand it.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

– ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭9:10‬ ‭NIV

Allow yourself to follow your dream by putting your complete faith in God, our Creator. He knows your destiny and wants you to succeed. Follow His path for your future and you will be victorious, more than you ever could be on your own. Soften your mind and allow your heart to lead!
