“If you look at what you have in life, you’ll always have more. If you look at what you don’t have in life, you’ll never have enough.”
–Oprah Winfrey
When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be. In a moment we shall be transformed and we’ll be free. Depression, disease and destruction will be destroyed once and for all. We will stand together as we sing and shout with victory. Until that day, however, how do we stand firm and survive here in a fallen world?
Oprah Winfrey, one of the most successful women on this earth gives us experienced advice above. Whatever we focus the most on, is naturally what we will inherit more of. If we wake up grateful for all that we have been blessed with and if we embrace these things with gratitude, we will manifest more of the same.
The crisis that occurs inherently to us human beings is that we are so easily deceived into believing that we never have enough. This world has way too much on offer, far more than 99% of people can afford or obtain; yet, we’re all cluelessly roped into believing that we can have it all.
There are scriptures in the Bible that are divinely written to guide us. These same scriptures remind us to not store up treasures here on earth but rather to set our sight and mind on things above; on the fruits of the spirit. (Love, joy, faith, kindness, goodness, gentleness, peace, patience and self-control)
Remember, at the end of your life, the only thing you are taking with you is the harvest of fruit found in your Spirit. Therefore, build up and improve your Spirit by focusing most of your time and attention towards it’s development. The rest will all fade away, but your character is what goes through our Almighty God’s approval process; get that right and you succeed in this life.
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
-Ephesians 4:32 NIV
Do good to be good to receive good! Take care of your thoughts and actions by developing great values and diminishing misdemeanors.
