Why Do You Worry?

“When I look back on all these worries, I remember the story of the old man who said on his deathbed that he had had a lot of trouble in his life, most of which had never happened.”

Winston Churchill

What is there to gain from worry? Absolutely nothing! For a very long time I have always said: “Don’t worry about it until it’s time to worry about it because it might never happen.” This allows you to avoid unnecessary stress because as you know my friend, stress is relentless.

We allow emotions of anguish and strife into our minds and bodies by stressing about things that might happen or that concern us. It is so important to live in the moment and embrace the joy of what you are going through in that moment. Don’t allow the voice of fear to dictate how you will feel. Put on the armor of God and avoid falling into the trap of unnecessary despair.

The armor of God consists of truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and prayer. Equip yourself with these life-giving essentials and watch how quickly anxiety and fear look for the exit door. Be brave and bold like the lion you are! All you need to do is stand firm with this armor and allow God to do the rest.

“For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.”

‭‭- Romans‬ ‭6:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬
